California Flatbread

At Keel Farms, we proudly serve hand-crafted food in our restaurant. One of our most popular dishes, and one of the best pairings for our Kiwi Pear Wine, is our California Flatbread. Made with a flatbread topped with avocado ranch, grilled chicken, fire-roasted bell peppers, mozzarella, peppered fried spinach, and extra virgin olive oil, this dish is bright and mouthwatering!

Grilled Lime Mojito Chicken

Lovers of tang will find Grilled Lime Mojito Chicken a match made in paradise with our Kiwi Pear Wine. To make this at home, start by marinating four boneless, skinless chicken breasts in a mixture of lime juice, mojito mix or mint syrup, minced garlic, salt, and pepper for at least 30 minutes. Then, preheat your grill to medium-high heat and grill the chicken for 6-7 minutes on each side or until fully cooked. Serve with our sweet Florida wine – ice optional – and enjoy!

Coconut Shrimp

One of the most beloved Floridian dishes is a plate of coconut shrimp, and for good reason! Season one pound of large, peeled, and deveined shrimp with salt and pepper. Dredge the shrimp in flour, dip them in beaten eggs, and coat them with a mixture of panko breadcrumbs and shredded coconut. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat, and fry the shrimp in batches until golden brown and crispy, which should be about 2-3 minutes per side. Drain the shrimp on paper towels before enjoying immediately.

Desserts

Poached Peaches with Ginger and Hazelnut Crumb

Poached peaches are a delightful and sophisticated lighter dessert that pairs exceptionally well with our Florida wine. To prepare them, bring water, sugar, and grated ginger to a boil in a large saucepan. Add halved and pitted peaches and simmer for 10-15 minutes until tender. Meanwhile, in a small skillet, melt butter, add chopped hazelnuts and brown sugar, and cook until golden and crunchy. Serve the poached peaches topped with hazelnut crumb.

Cheesecake

Another wonderful pairing is the tried-and-true cheesecake! This creamy dessert, with its buttery crust and smooth filling, pairs wonderfully with our Kiwi Pear Wine.

And, if you haven’t tried the cheesecake at our restaurant, you’re in for a treat. The next time you visit our farm, be sure to order a slice and enjoy it with a glass of Kiwi Pear Wine for an unforgettable end to your meal.
