Warmer months and sunnier days have arrived in Florida, and it is officially blueberry season here at Keel Farms! We love celebrating the blueberry season at our winery in Tampa, especially with our annual Blueberry Festival, and can’t wait for you to join us in our festivities this spring!
Blueberry Season at Keel Farms
At Keel Farms, blueberry season is one of our favorite times of the year. The green fields finally have specks of blue hidden in the leaves and we can open our blueberry u-pick to our guests. At $5 per pound and $14 for 3 pounds, you and your family can enjoy handpicking these delicious, nutritious berries on our 25-acre farm.
Did you know that Keel Farms got its start as a plant nursery and blueberry grower? In 2003, Joe Keel decided to use his home-grown blueberries to make 10 gallons of wine at the end of crop season – and magic was created! Now, we are a nationally recognized winery in Tampa, and our blueberry wines are certainly fan favorites!

What better way to celebrate our favorite time of year than with a family-friendly festival? We proudly host our annual Keel Farms Blueberry Festival on select weekends in March and April.
We will, of course, have our blueberry u-pick for you and your family to handpick a bucket of berries to enjoy, along with a wide range of unique artisan vendors. We will also have many more fun activities that you and your family will love, like camel rides, a petting zoo, bounce houses, and tastings. After a day of fun, be sure to plan for lunch or dinner to enjoy our farm-fresh, delicious food in Plant City! Entry to the festival is free for all, and parking is only $10 per car!
